Bro. Bob has served as our pastor since November 1998. He has been married to Carol for over 27 years and they have 8 wonderful children. Their oldest son is married and has three children. Their second oldest son is married and is headed for grad school. Their oldest daughter is married and moved out of state. Bro. Bob graduated from the University of New Orleans and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and was a church planter in Iowa before joining Schriever Baptist Church.
Email MartaMarta has served in the capacity of Director of Student Ministries since June 2002. Marta works with the youth as well as leading our Children's Church program on Sunday mornings. She also currently serves as the Associational Youth Director for our Bayou Baptist Association.
Marta has been married for 19 years to Kevin Walker and together they have three great children: Brandon, Kristen and Lauren.
" I feel that Youth Ministry is is one of our great ministry opportunities. We, as youth ministers, have been called to allow God to work through us to prepare our future leaders. That is a very humbling task which must be taken seriously. I have a passion and love for teenagers and my desire is to help them become young adults who love God and live their lives for His Glory. I believe our goal is simply to LOVE GOD, LOVE PEOPLE." We have all been given the wonderful ability and opportunity to be "love letters" from God to share with the world. What does your letter say to those around you?
Louis is a former student in our youth ministry and now a student at Nicholls State University. He will graduate in December 2011 and go on to New Orleans Theological Seminary to continue his studies. He is engaged to Angel Rounds and will be married Decebmer 17th of this year.
Louis was called into the ministry several years ago and has worked with our Children's Ministry for many years. He works with our 1st through 6 graders on Wednesday nights and also leads Children's Church as a substitute.
